/ Cookie disclosure
Cookies.
Almost none. The reason there is no consent banner is that there is nothing to consent to.

The short version
This site sets no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies. There is no banner because EU law (ePrivacy Directive Article 5(3)) only requires consent when a site stores or accesses information on your device for non-essential purposes. This site does not, so it does not ask.
What you might see if you check your browser
Two strictly-necessary cookies may appear, both falling under the "essential service" exemption from ePrivacy consent:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cf_* | Cloudflare | DDoS protection, bot detection at edge | Session / 30 days |
| cf_chl_* | Cloudflare Turnstile | Verifies the contact form is being filled by a human, not a bot. Set only if you open the contact page. | Minutes |
What is not here
- No Google Analytics. No GA4, no Universal Analytics.
- No Facebook pixel, no Meta tracking.
- No LinkedIn Insight, no Twitter pixel, no TikTok pixel.
- No Hotjar, no FullStory, no session replay.
- No retargeting, no advertising network beacons.
- No cross-site profile cookies. No long-lived identifiers in localStorage either.
Analytics, without cookies
I do measure traffic. The site loads a small script from analytics.lmgamelabs.com, which is my own self-hosted instance of Plausible. Plausible is intentionally cookieless. It does not store IP addresses, it does not fingerprint, it does not follow you between sites. It exists so I can see whether the essays are being read.
If you still want to opt out
You do not need to. Plausible is anonymous by design. But if you want zero requests to my analytics endpoint, your browser's tracker-blocker (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, Brave Shields) will block analytics.lmgamelabs.com. The site continues to work fully without it.
If anything changes
If I ever add a tool that does need consent, like Google Analytics or any advertising integration, I will add a proper consent banner with a real reject option, update this page, and bump the date below. I do not currently plan to.
